This lake, originally designed for soil conservation, maintains a shallow profile, with most areas measuring less than 6 feet in depth. Near the dam, you'll find slightly deeper spots, reaching depths of up to 11 feet.
For your convenience, we offer a 12-foot jon boat near the boat ramp, available for member use. However, please note that we do not provide a trolling motor, batteries, or paddles, so make sure to bring your own if needed.
As an added bonus, lodging options await at this location. A fully restored 2-bedroom, 1-bath home, affectionately known as Miss Kitty's Place, sits just half a mile from the lake. It's the perfect retreat for two anglers or a couple seeking a peaceful escape, all while remaining less than a 45-minute drive from the northern part of the metroplex. Nice cool quiet morning, no teal though. I saw what looked like a pair flying maybe 500 yds or so off in the distance, but nothing on the lake. Oh well, hopefully November weather will bring us some birds!
