Fry
Weather conditions were absolutely perfect. Hunted solo with my dog (who was rewarded with tons of action). Killed my limit by 7:30am (4 Gaddies, 1 Redhead, 1 Ringneck).
- The N wind called to set up the decoys on the north end of the lake. There were ducks (literally hundreds) pouring in all morning right around the submerged ramp, but there was nowhere to take cover there so I had to set up in the trees on the Northeast portion of the lake. I recommend moving the blind close to the submerged ramp. I’m definitely not complaining, but had I been set up there, I would’ve killed my limit within the first 5 minutes of shooting hours.

David,
I am glad to hear that you had a very successful first hunt with the club!
Thank you for the reccomendation on placement for the blind. I will be working on moving the blind to the new area you suggested here in the very near future. I will also update the map when I move the blind.
