No ducks were seen today, but there were plenty of critters to watch. Eight egrets, an ibis flock of 10, kingfishers, scissortails, dove, turtles, frogs, and an otter provided the morning entertainment. Note that the water is very high right now, so getting to the blind on the north side would not be possibly with hip boots unless making a big loop around the south and west side of the pond. Use chest waders or bring oars/paddles for the boat. The vegetation around the blind looked good, but we set up on the farthest water to the northwest. The conditions seemed prime, but the teal just never materialized.
