Scaup started landing on the pond 15 minutes before legal shooting time.  We got our bluebill limit without issue and then just watched more of them swim around on the water.  A pair of buffleheads arrived, but stayed just outside of shooting range.  There was a merganser that we left alone that swam by roughly 30 yards from the blind.
