Saw a few at first light, but nothing flying after 7:15 am or so. Had a group of teal land about 50 yards away from us, but were too far for an ethical shot in our opinion. Had a group of gadwall work for us about 30 min after shooting time, but landed in favor of the find near the dam. Crosswind in regard to the blind really worked against us today, will be better about always bringing our layout blinds in the future so we aren’t married to the blind if the weather doesn’t cooperate. Hoping for better birds after the split!
