Today was perfect. The weather was great. Due to the cloud cover, it was really dark at the beginning of shoot light. This kept the birds flying for the first 30 minutes. Until about 8:10 we had a constant stream of birds coming through. Only a few groups wanted to sit down in the decoys. There were a number of singles that buzzed the lake and then headed out. The Boys had a great time. There were a number of large groups that came through. I think we say about 80 to 90 birds come through. There were some high flying groups of about 30 teal that were just passing by but showed no interested. We hoped they would sit down, but they didn’t. 10 birds is a great start to the season. We ended up with 2 wigeon, 7 green wing teal and 1 ring neck.
** My son found a mojo wing in the water, we left it behind the blind on the buck for shells**
