It was a nice morning to be out.  Cool with little wind.  We hunted from layout blinds up by the dam.

We had one Gadwall decoy about 5 minutes after the legal shooting light.  Didn’t wait for him to finish and so he bailed to far to my right to get a good shot.  Two other ducks flew behind us with no chance at a shot.  We found them on the front lake when we drove out. Shortly after that, we had a Drake Greenwing land and swim toward the decoys and change direction to the dam.  It was a long shot, but we were able to harvest him.  That was at about 8:00 am.

That was it for the morning.  No other birds were seen in the area.
