It was cold and windy this morning.  Decoys out 25 minutes early.  Had 1 flock buzz us before shooting light.  Then like clockwork, they kept coming in for the next 20 minutes.  Just enough time for us to reload, catch our breath and get settled in again.  4 birds shy of a 3 man limit.  Nice mixed bag of: Redhead, Scaup, GW Teal, Gadwall, Ringneck, Widgeon.  And….. my son shot his first band today!!!  He’s still on cloud 9!  He walked out to grab the first round of birds and hollered out “Redhead” then “BAND” I really thought he was jerking me around, but sure enough. Band indeed.  Awesome Day!
