Took advantage of the special Veterans Season to take a fellow veteran out for a little duck hunting.  It was a beautiful morning at the Crossroad Ranch.  The lake is up about a foot after last week's rains but still needs about another foot or so more.  

We saw close to a hundred ducks in total.  Most showed no interest in the lake at all.  Those that did took one pass and left.  Was able to scratch out a single Gaddie that passed within range.

It was nice to see the geese are back.  Saw probably 50 – 75  Canadas in a half dozen or so groups.

Overall, it was a very pleasant morning to be out.
