Hello,

I am looking hard at an X10 to use for next year and curious on any members that may have an X10 as to what their opinion is or any alternatives you might suggest? Space is limited for me (until my older kids are done with our wake boat) so no room for another trailer and needing something to fit in the back of my ¾ ton truck and that I can stand upright in the garage.  I fish predominantly with my 11 year old daughter and to better suit ourselves for PWF lakes, we would like to find the right boat for our needs and probably over do it with electronics (dare I say Livescope 😀).  Thanks in advance for your insight.

Looks like it should do great. It has swivel seats which is nice. I have a Hobie PA14 that is way over rigged but love it. However, it is heavy and seat faces forward so fishing to different angles are difficult with stationary seat. I have livescope  and is nice with deeper water but when 3 or 4 feet deep, it is very limited in use. Still, I love my PA14 but other boats can be easier to fish from.

I think Eric Carr mentioned that he has a twin troller. I’ve also had my eye on them, like you I don’t have a ton of storage space and would like to fish with my 9 yr old son.  The other one I’ve been eyeing is the ultraskiff 360 but would lose the ability to fish with my son.

I looked into the Twin Troller. Awesome but too expensive for me. I bought an 8’ Sun Dolphin Sportsman for about $500. Got a 50lb thrust trolling motor and a battery and i am good to go. It fits in the back of my Silverado just fine. Great boat in my opinion.

funny, I was looking at two Ultraskiffs too since fishing with my daughter is a must but that seems like more work than one Twin Troller. I like the hands free operation of the motor too. Biggest question for me is weight to manage in the back of a truck and ease of transport with the dolly they sell. If that works, seems like a great option other than the high price.

Thanks for sharing. That 8' looks like a good option too. The 120 Pro model they have is really nice but trailer is a must on that.

They pop up on facebook market place every now and again, one there now for $2k without trailer.
There's a guy in Florida with a bunch of YouTube videos and he seems to handle it with the dolly pretty well.

I’ve got one and would be happy to let you take it for a spin sometime, I live in Prosper.   Weston Lake is my goto, a great boat my email is jpowter@gdpadvisors.com send me a note and we can chat on the phone.  Amazing control to be able to fish with both hands, shallow draft, you can literally drive it anywhere on the lake and spin at a moment's notice.  I’m 200lbs and can stand on its one side, surprisingly stable.   *It’s heavier than you think so if you’re putting in the back of your truck which I have done.  I’m a decent size guy and usually fish with my son who played college ball it’s not a feather.   But there are tons of ways to automate that for you.

They are expensive but there are deals to be found, I got mine very inexpensively but had to get it from Tampa, FL.
