Find the grass along the south bank of the lake where most of the old fence posts are located. Thats a good place to start (Basically right next to the ramp) and work toward the damn. Get there as early as possible because it has been so hot the bite may shut down quickly. Start with top water, Whopper Plopper is my favorite for any body of water and also have a chatterbait in a shad color tied on. Wacky Senko always works too. Your nephew should be able to crush his PB out there. Good Luck!

I usually fish the north central and east Texas lakes but I'm fishing Brushy Creek Lake south of Austin with my nephew this Sunday. Bo Barnett teased us all offering to share his big fish catching secrets. ;-) Bo, if you see this, please share your tips here. Thank you, sir!
And any tips from anyone would be helpful. Lures, presentation, spots to try, etc. My nephew's PB is only 2 pounds so I'd really love for him to catch a big one!
Thank you all!
