i havent been there in a while but i used to fish it all the time,, the crappie will definatly be in the brush piles.. they at one time were all clearly marked.. the one that is straight out from renees house about 20 yrds, always produced giant crappie for me.. and on the far side of the lake there is an obvious point. and between that point and the dam there are 4-5 brush piles,, these run along the edge of the creek, these always held crappie also,, if the markers are gone , you can easily find them with a depth finder, if you dont have a depth finder just start at the point and troll your way towards the dam dragging a jig a couple ft off bottom and you will feel the brush.. when you do then drop a marker and fish each pile.. now past the far point is a small stump field,, the crappie arent in there (they relate to the man made brush piles).. as far as catfish.. you can sit on the large dock down from the main house and catch all the catfish you want.. there is a feeder on the dock and when it goes off they come in there in droves.. when the feeder isnt on take some dough balls and throw from the dock out to your left towards the deeper looking water and you should tie into some good ones.. bennett lake is full of big catfish... as far as the bass.. they are what i call wonderers, they wonder around all over the lake looking for bait and they could pop up and school anywhere at anytime, but mainly out from the dam area.. be ready with a small rattle trap,, when they arent scooling try the 2 main points,, if they are in deep water go to the bank that is at the far end of the dam and back off a little bit,,along that bank there is the deepest water in the lake and some brush piles.. between the crappie and bass and catfish, you should be able to get into somrthing that is biting on that lake,, one last thing.. other than spring , i have never had any luck catching fish up in the shallow end that is up to the left of the main house.. good luck , let us know how it goes

Appreciate the good info I should be able to catch something with that good info. Been eyeing that place for a while just haven't gone down there. Admit any place that talks about keeping 15lb catfish strikes my interest for sure. Bass fishing excellent from what I've read been wanting to catch some crappie to eat caught few here and there but not a lot. Seems like not lot of people fishing there seems odd guess gets overlooked. Will definitely. Report how I do. Thanks for info

Great info above.  Take a Carolina rigged red worm and head over to the far cove across from the boat docks.  Drag it around really slowly in 14-16 FOW around all of that downed timber.  The creek channel winds in close to that point directly opposite from the boat docks and is lined with timber.  There is a significant thermocline at 17 feet so I don't know how much time I'd spend down in the 23 FOW near the dam.

I will be heading back out there in the next few months to make a contour map of that lake.  Once I do I'll get some photos up with markers to show you guys the original creek channel and where the timber is for those of you that don't have the lake memorized like Mr. Chapin.

Good luck out there.  Take some watermelon red Zoom Super Flukes rigged weightless to throw around all of the big pockets of grass.
