Welcome to the club. I have fished Melody a few times. Done good on top water early and late. Throwing Horny toads but today I would throw a black Ribbit. Water is stained. Did real good on side opposite dock and the far end opposite the dam. Mostly using senko and zoom flukes in wAtermelon. If things slow down I had kids throw johnson beetle spin in chartreuse and black. Caught crappie and bluegills. Great set up, with boats. Just bring a battery and trolling motor. You can drive right down to dock just remember to leave the gates the way you found them. This is a working ranch. Also nice accommodations for overnight stay. One other thing and it may not be an issue but there is a sand bar to the right if standing on the dock. It's about half way to the far end. I would think that Bryan and Huntsville would also be good choices for ya'll. if you go try a black buzz bait early or late. Also try a 1/2 oz spinner in maybe red or chartreuse. Let us know how you do.

I am new to the club and may go out on Monday with my son. How is Melody Acres? Any tips if I choose that lake?
Thank you,
Rob
