Was wondering how many of you older anglers remember Jason Lucas , the Angling Editor of Sports Afield in the 60.s and 70.s. Ran across his book first published in 1947 and updated in 1962. The first book I ever ordered in the early 1960,s. This book helped hook me on bass fishing. It is interesting the equipment they used back the compared to today. No electric motors, but used oars . primitive rods and reels compared to what we now use. This man once fished 365 days in a year and shares his thoughts on equipment, lures, places to fish and the beauty and art of bass fishing
Lucas was pretty much spot on in his opinions on how to catch bass and and still makes for a remarkable read. He actually became fishing editor in the 40,s and you can still order his book.
