Jay,

While I was not targeting crappie, I caught 3 large black crappie at Tushka, Ok, around the timber on left side of creek channel in the middle of lake.  Should have stopped bass fishing, but did not.

Always picked up a few crappies at Julian. Never targeted them.  Mr. Julian told me that he would go out and catch 25.   I caught them at south end around pump house also the island on west side. Real shallow lake and no idea how many crappie it supports. I never caught one over 10".

I believe Hickory Creek Ranch (at the dock) is probably the most consistent lake for good numbers of keeper crappie.  Probably second best is Tushka Oak Meadows.   We caught 24 big 12-13" black crappie in a couple of hours back in April (pic below).  Right now the grass is really thick at Tushka so they may be hard to find until fall.  We catch several slabs every time at Tushka, even when only bass fishing.

Jay, the road was re-done recently, as the owner has built a new barn/cabin on the other (east) side of the lake.  It's nice smooth gravel all the way to the launch.  The road now goes around to the right, south of the lake, and the new launch is on the east side next to the dam.  Easy launch, however the grass is very thick and tough in mid-summer. Crappie are harder to find in the grass.  In the fall it dies back.  Once you find the crappie you can catch good numbers easily.  We normally find them on the north 1/3 of the lake 8-10 ft water, somewhere between the grass edge and the timber.  We have never found them directly in the timber or in water deeper than about 10 ft.
