First run Broseco Ranch maps (incomplete)

This should give you guys a basic idea of what you're fishing.  I'm headed back out to Caresend Lake in June and I'll get better tracings of the holes in the map.  I'll also mark the artificial fish habitats but Steve has those well marked for you on the shoreline.

Tight lines,

Jackson

Many thanks!  I fished there myself but did not have anything remotely like this map.

Question: There are two areas where it was difficult to get to (I didn't try because I wasn't sure we were supposed to fish there.)    One was at the end of the long arm headed north.  There was a road that separated that body of water from the main lake, and the only way to get there would be to leave the boat and fish from the bank.   Is that area fishable by us, or is it off limits?

Second was an arm headed west at the shallow end of the lake opposite the dam.  A footbridge crossed this area and the boat rode too high in the water to make an entrance possible, though this could change if the water level fell.  Again, is this fishable or off limits?

I intend to try Broseco again, which is why I ask.  Thanks!

Frank,

You are welcome to fish both of those areas. When the water is down, it is possible to drive the boat under the bridge. However, in my opinion, the Southeast part of the lake is the best fishing. The South shore from the boat launch over to the dam is where I would concentrate my efforts.

Thanks, Seth.  Hope to show my daughter, son-in-law, son, and dad (!) good fishing there in June.  Maybe I'll learn to run the foot control motor better by then!blush

Yes Chris,

Most of the newer Lowrance units and the software called Insight Genesis.  Then you put that map on an SD card and you have your own map to use  the next time you fish that body of water.
