My vote would be either Triple J  in Ennis or Julian in Leesburg.  Leesburg might be really good as I'm not sure how many are fishing this location. Mister Julian would go out and catch a mess of them.  Might be really good then again not, it is a longer ride than Ennis.  At Julian I always caught them at the south end by the pump house.  Have caught crappie at Northeast when fishing for bass.  Wish I could be more help. I changed barbers and the new one won't barter Crappie for haircuts.

The only place that i've caught crappie is Neill Ranch.   My daughter and I, much to my surprise, caught a bunch of good sized crappie while bass fishing with watermelon flukes.   The only time i can remember catching crappie on watermelon flukes in any lake or pond.  That was in November as i remember.

My vote would be Waco Creek in San Saba.  We have always caught BIG crappie there when fishing with bass baits.  If you target crappie you will catch some very nice ones!  We also catch a fair amount on Bennett Lake, but have never targeted them

Brian, I asked Seth this question shortly after I joined about 20 months ago.  He thought Black Hat was the best crappie lake in the club and Weston (SW Lake) was number 2.  I have a good friend who loves crappie fishing but I have not had the chance to check them out yet for crappie.  Good luck!

The ones that come to mind are

Ferris Triple J

Tom Bean

Weston

Grapeland

San Saba- Likely has the biggest. Lots of 14 to 16 inch slabs.

Thanks for the help everyone. I'll look at all of them, it's nice to have a backup if the bass are slow.
