There has only been 1 trip since July 30th at that was Monday August 18th. The lake will be well rested.
Our more expensive lakes tend to rest alot in Dec/Jan/July and August. The ironic part about that is that if you can take the cold or the heat; the fishing can be some of the best of the year. The fish really tend to stack in certain areas when the water is real cold or real hot. . If you can find that small area you can literally catch big fish after big fish. The owner of Heartland 10/10 says that there tends to be a week or two in late December to early January that he traditionally catches more big fish in the deepest water at Leaky Lake than any other time of the year. That says alot, as he and/or one of his guests have caught 16 bass over 10 lbs in 2014!!! It is hard to find members who like to fish in inclaimate weather like that especially at our more expensive lakes. Those days tend to be high risk (big chance to get zeroed or catch only a few) or have the best fishing day of your life. Those weather days are not for those who like to throw wacky senkos against the bank.

Fellow member Bryan Buchan and I will be fishing Saba next week. I have read all the reports and was hoping someone has fished this property lately and is willing to let me know what the fish are hitting.
