Chris, it did arrive promptly in the mail and I've already tried it with wispy 4 lb test. Seemed to work fine.
The only issue I've seen is that the lanyard is not attached very securely.

have you tied the Palomar knot with it

Chris, I haven't tried doing the Palomar. I usually use the Figure 8 knot which I learned decades ago, actually.
The clinch knot is probably easiest to tie on this, though others are possible as well. One disadvantage is that it takes more line to tie a knot on this device than just using your hands.

No, unlike Fishing Fingers, this isn't a joke. At least I hope not.
Who hasn't had problems tying knots when hands are cold, the wind is blowing, the boat is rocking, or using light line? This device, the Tyepro, looks so intriguing & helpful that I went ahead and ordered two of them. Good for the visually impaired, as well.
