Each lake provides excellent habitat for ducks and other waterfowl, perfect for small hunting groups seeking quiet, productive hunts. Upper Tear Drop (4 acres): Open water with light vegetation—ideal for mallards, gadwalls, and teal. Easy blind setup from bank or dock. Middle Tear Drop (5.5 acres): The hunting blind is located here. Largest lake with diverse habitat and strong bird activity, especially after fronts. Great for mixed species. Lower Tear Drop (2.5 acres): Shallow and secluded—perfect for teal and early-season hunts in calm surroundings. 3 gadwall at shooting light. After that there were zero birds in the air.

Had some early groups of green wings come into the spread. Had a pair of ringnecks in the decoys with some wigeon circling, but they never committed and the ringnecks ended up flying off. Not a lot of big duck…

Local birds are weary. Diving into the third year drop. That area has seemed to be pressured quite a bit.
